I’m 2010 Pasco developed a virus that wouldn’t go away. After about a week he wound up in the ER. They did scans only to find a grapefruit sized tumor on his right kidney. About a month later they removed his entire kidney. They thought they got it all. In 2013 his cancer returned as a lesion on his neck. They sent him for more scans only to find out that the cancer was everywhere. He was sent to Tampa Florida for high dose IL2 treatments. This is the most excruciating treatment I have ever seen. He endured 18 of these treatments before we finally called it quits. They wanted him to get 20 but he could only endure 18. But, it worked! It got everything. He was on maintenance oral chem for almost 2 years before the cancer returned. We have been battling it ever since.
a few years ago it moved to his brain where he has had 19 cyber knife treatments, more than any other documented case, ever!
the cancer is in his spine putting pressure on his spinal column, he has 2 compression fractures in his back, 4 broken ribs and a broken pelvis. He is in constant excruciating pain that they cannot get under control.
mover the past few months he has be an to decline very quickly. The last week he has been hurting in his right side and chest. He finally went to the er this week only to find out that the cancer has invaded his lungs And heart and has develop a significant amount of fluid around both. They deemed him too sick to stay in vidalia. They could not find a hosp with a bed anywhere in ga. So he wound up being transported to Jacksonville Florida. I have been running back and forth trying to fill my orders for the week, I have 9, and make a little money for gas, as everyone knows how exp it is. we live off Pasco’s disability and what little I make with my cakes to supplement what he gets.
Pasco is a strong hard working man and has always moved mountains to make sure we all had what we needed. We have never been rich and struggled for what we have but have always had what we needed! And not to mention that with being on disability for so many years, we have no life insurance. He told me as I was leaving last night that, “l can’t go, I have to finish paying for the house, our car, the roof needs fixing” I told him that HE is the one that needs support now and he was not to worry about those things! Now it’s time for US to be there for him as he has been there for everyone else in our lives!
We met 34 years ago on a blind date and could have gotten married that night. We were and are soul mates! We have our 4 amazing children and 8 grandchildren and one more due in October.
if anyone knows anything about pasco, he is a gentle giant, 6’7” teddy bear! He is loved by so many! He has made so many friends delivery cakes on Saturday to our sweet clients!
I know times are hard for everyone and every dollar counts, so if you are unable to donate, we as for prayers! Prayers for comfort, strength and understanding.
I also ask for everyone to show him our love and support. I ask that if you would, let’s flood his phone with messages of love and support! He has been such a crucial part to so many, let’s show him just how much. (Just texts pls as it’s hard for him to talk on the phone)
his number is [phone redacted].
We do appreciate every kind word, every prayer, every text or call and if possible your donations.
May God bless each and every one of you
His soul mate, Angela
