Every teacher, or teacher-in-training, has dreams of crossing paths with the ideal, quintessential student.
One that changes your life forever.
One that needs you to wear hats other than “educator.”
One that wants to be a student of life, not just curriculum.
A remarkable student, much like Matilda Wormwood of the classic Roald Dahl tale.
Paige is one of these students.

As her former 8th grade science teacher I've had the honor of staying in contact with her to this day, years after she graduated my classroom. We formed a special bond, crafting a relationship that resembles Miss Honey and Matilda.
Heartbreakingly, Paige's story relates too closely to the hardships Matilda faced as well. As of May 13th, 2018, Paige became orphaned as a result of her parents tragic deaths. She lost her Mother at age 12 to cancer and her Father more recently to a sudden heart attack. Her Father was her first cofident, sole care-taker, best friend and strongest supporter.

Paige, almost 17, is an ambitious, wise for her years, genuine and compassionate student, athlete and young lady. She is strong and tenacious, and has never let adversity stand in her way. She has a passion for learning and a love for understanding the world around her.
With your help, Paige can fulfill her dreams of continuing her education. She is eager to tackle her senior year of High School outside of Phoenix, AZ and is looking forward to a college career the year after.
According to the online College Cost Calculator, 4-years of public college will cost Paige a staggering $97,061.
Please consider donating to Paige's continued education fund and help ease the financial burden of education as Paige navigates the next several years without living parents.
