Good day and may God's richest blessings be upon you. I have a neighbor who's son is a disabled Navy veteran (OIF) suffering from a terminal illness. Her husband passed in 2023 of a massive heart attack in front of her in their home (he was an Army vet). She only receives monthly survivor benefits. She took her 2024 taxes to where her husband used to have taxes prepared and after it was all over and done and because there wasn't enough taxes taken out of her monthly check she ended up owing IRS 20K. She paid them off and used up all her emergency funds. She doesn't know I'm doing this but I can sit around and do nothing. While I have given her a few resources that may can help with all that's going on she needs assistance now as after IRS takes out taxes from her monthly check there isn't enough left to support her expenses. Military folk stick together so Im reaching out to all my military, active, reserve, retired, veterans and anyone who has a heart to assist me in raising funds for her. I have a separate bank account set up and want to present her with a cashiers check to assist her with establishing another emergency fund.
