Hello friends and family of Becky -
As many of you know, in August Becky was diagnosed with Her2 positive breast cancer.
Becky wants everyone to know she appreciates all of the love that has been coming her way already – texts, meals, voice messages, visits, memes, prayers…And so much more. Just know that she may not always be able to return your messages, but she is getting, reading, hearing and feeling all of it!
Becky needs all aspects of help right now – prayers, meals, financial, house chore help, etc. to lessen her worries while she battles. She can use any of your time, treasures or talents – so don’t be shy about offering!

The Diagnosis –
In August, Becky found a lump in her breast while showering. By the grace of God, she got into a top oncologist very quickly and all the testing began. After many tests, procedures, and appointments they diagnosed her with stage 3 - Her2 positive breast cancer, that has spread to her lymph nodes.
At that point, Becky began her battle.
She will have 18 rounds of chemo, followed by a total mastectomy, then radiation. Last week, she had her 5th chemo treatment. After each treatment, she has a few good days before the chemo effects hit; and they are devastating. Becky has been hospitalized several times, had 2 blood transfusions, goes in regularly for hydration infusions and generally feels terrible. Additionally, the chemo is triggering other pre-existing ailments, as well as these side effects.
Becky has 2 kids, Briley (13 years old) and Brady (12 years old) and is trying to hold down her full time job of 19 years as an X-ray tech at the Veterans Administration.
Some unexpected costs she has or will run into are:
-Medical bills – Yes Insurance is great, but getting to your deductible is the hard part.
-Money to pay people for helping with household chores/upkeep – take care of the leaves, plow the driveway, clean the house, etc.
-Kitchen appliances all took a shit in September… and now the washer and dryer just went out too.
-Time out of work; lost wages
Again, she appreciates all of the love, support, and time already given. Please use this site to keep updated on Becky’s Battle and know that all your love, prayers, and support are greatly appreciated.
