Kilo Company 3/8 Marines Reunion
Donation protected
Last year veterans of 3rd Battalion 8th Marines decided to organize a reunion to help create a support network for the guys we served with.
A lot of the guys have struggled with the transition to civilian life. After the intensity of war it can be a real pain in the ass to sustain a "normal" life. That burden can weigh deeply on guys, sometimes with tragic results. Veteran suicide is a current popular topic for a reason—and we feel one major factor is the isolation guys feel in civilian life. It's hard to talk about some of these experiences candidly with people who haven't experienced them, and even guys with loving families and friends can find themselves feeling isolated and alone.
Reunions help keep us all connected, but we quickly discovered some guys couldn't afford to make the trip—and they're the ones having the hardest time who need our support network most.
That's where you come in.
We have an extremely lean budget and are working hard to raise funds to make sure everyone can come.
Just $5 can make a huge difference in helping us meet our modest goal.
If you can lend a hand or forward this on to anyone you know who would be interested, we'd be incredibly grateful.
Thank you and Semper Fidelis.
