Dear Friends and Family, my name is Thomas Peters. My Mother’s son and only child.

My mother Carla Peters was recently diagnosed with Stage-4 Lung cancer. (Non-Smoker) that has metastasized and spread to her bones.

Before we found out about this awful news my mother had come down with pneumonia and was hospitalized for it last August.

Around that time I knew that something was not right. She was so sick even after the hospital helped as much as they could.

Shortly after that, she started developing a wheeze and trouble breathing overall.

Feeling run down, constantly tired, overwhelming fatigue, unbearable pain, and consistent back pain all while trying to overcome a severe case of thrush.

After multiple Dr. visits and testing, we received the devastating news that it was Cancer.

My Family and I have used all our resources and forms of income to keep her happy, safe, out of pain and comfortable as possible.

Many family members, friends and loved ones suggested that we tell her story on a “GFM” page.

I decided as her son, to take action and do whatever I can to help.

She has already been through a lot of treatment including, chemotherapy, rounds of radiation and even multiple surgeries.

Including; biopsies and oral surgery.

Now in between her treatment, she has had to undergo surgery for her teeth as well.

Having a total of 5 teeth extracted with stitching, she has had to endure this with only routine novocaine sedation.

This has caused nothing but further complications.

Especially without the coverage for the proper sedation, oral surgery is just one more example of many things that are going to add to the bills.

With everything she has been through already the hospital costs and living accommodations are accumulating into the thousands, putting us into severe financial debt.

She was unfortunately not able to work enough hours before getting this sick, Going through everything she is at the moment she is unable to return to work as of now.

Her team of Doctor’s are trying to discuss further treatment. With the weekly, if not daily visits, check-ups, blood work and scans.

This is just one more thing that is going to add to the unreachable amount of debt.

In conclusion, all we want to convey is that any help & donation is truly appreciated for this long journey ahead that my mother is on.

I have created this to help in any way possible. & Not only because she has gone through so many loops on the health side…

But, my mother is truly an angel. She has given so much to her Son, Husband, Family, Friends and so many other human beings from all over.

She still finds a way to do that and even still finds a way to push through every day with a smile. She would truly do anything for anyone she loves even when she is pushed beyond her limit.

& The saying goes, “You never truly know if you are fight or Flight until you are forced to choose” and I can say that My Mom is all FiGHT when it comes to this.

I think I knew this even before she did when I was young growing up…
