Help Michael Fight Pancreatic Cancer

Hi, my name is Ashley and as you may know, my 45yo brother, Michael, is fighting pancreatic cancer. He was diagnosed in March 2023, and has been through months of procedures, chemotherapy and radiation. His strength has pulled him through almost a full year of fighting this aggressive disease. He has been the ultimate fighter, he rarely complains and never gives up — despite the pain, side effects and complications, he has maintained a level of activity very few could ever tolerate. This is no secret to most but he always has been my hero and his approach to cancer has been nothing but heroic!

This year has been devastating and difficult in so many ways for Michael, Laura, and our entire family. With ongoing treatment, the costs of his condition, medical care and medications are beginning to cause more anxiety, but asking for help in this kind of scenario is not easy. Any funds donated will be used to cover the cost for a significant surgical treatment, that is only offered by specific surgeons in other states (and is not covered by insurance), to help him continue to fight this disease.

On a more personal note: My brother has been dealt some really unfair cards in life, and pancreatic cancer tops them all. He is our dear husband, brother, son, nephew, cousin, friend and now very special uncle to my babies, Landry & Briggs. He has been our rock, helping fill a void that our dad left years ago, and expresses his love in grand gestures — like grandpa’s ashes secretly sewn into a stuffed Tiger and the most magnificent hand-made rocking horse you’ll ever see. For me he has always been the epitome of what a big brother should be, my confidant and protector. He holds a very special place in each of our hearts.
