PJ & Taven's Emergency Back & Cancer Surgeries

Hi, Our name is Tina and Matt Fitzgerald and we are raising funds for our sweet Perseus Jones "PJ" and his older sister Taven. Taven was just diagnosed with anal gland cancer and she needs immediate surgery to remove the Cancerous tumor and glands for the best outcome.

The cancer has not spread throughout her body & is isolated for now. So removing the tumor will give her the best chance at living longer. She is still enjoying her life the vet believes she has many Years left because her blood work is good and we had ultrasounds done of the chest, abdomen, liver and kidneys. The cancer is nowhere to be found it's isolated to her anal gland and the vet thinks that if we remove the cancer early. Taven has many more years of life left.

Perseus Jones "P.J." had an accident while looking for his ball and we are not sure what happened. We did not see him get hurt, he just was screaming in the yard. When Mommy heard His cries, she ran out to help him and he was totally down in the back end. One leg going 1 way and the other going the other way...

Right away She knew PJ was in trouble and needed to get to the vet right away..

The vet confirmed that he needed emergency surgery because the MRI showed two ruptured/herniated Disks. We had two options given to us. Do the surgery or put PJ down and we just couldn't put him down he's our family... He is only 6 years old and a healthy boy.

We have been hit so hard with vet bills over the last year. It's overwhelming. Matt has been working so hard to keep us afloat. we have exhausted all of our Emergency pet funds..

It's been hard to rebuild our pet fund because of these unexpected emergencies that keep happening...

We have 3 dogs that have Cushing's and with their medications every month and special dog food our little one that has reoccurring pancreatitis it's been alot at once and we are having a hard time.

P.J's Surgery was over $9,400 plus laser therapy rehab. Tavens estimated Cancer Surgery is $4,500 to $6,000. Our Cindy Lou had Pancreatitis 3 weeks ago and cost us over $2,000. Total emergency costs in less than 3 weeks time is over $19,000 plus. A very unexpected & burden for any fur parent!!!

Matt has negotiated with our vet to find out the minimum deposit required to have them do both Surgeries for P.J. & Taven upfront without requirement of full payment in advance. We have lowered our fundraiser goal to reflect the deposit costs to our vet for those Surgeries. Not the full costs of all expenses.

Matt & I was able to take out a loan to obtain the money for the emergency surgery deposit costs. That is our reason for the fundraiser. We want to be able to pay that loan off immediately & we are financing the remaining $19,000 plus over time.

We hate asking for help. We have been in a situation to help others and now we are the ones in need of a little Help due to these unexpected emergencies...
