Pizza Party & Clothing Drive for SD Rescue Mission

Who would have thought that a random challenge asking if it were possible to eat an entire pizza AND run a mile in under 10 minutes would turn into a great opportunity to give back to one of San Diego's great organizations.
We are raising money to provide a pizza party for the 250+ current residents of the San Diego Rescue Mission.
The San Diego Rescue Mission is a non profit homeless shelter and recovery center serving 1000's of homeless, hungry and poor men, women and children each year since 1955.
We will be using any additional funds to be donated directly to the rescue mission which will provide future meals for those who occupy its doors.
In addition to the event, we will be holding a clothing drive between now and December 15th.
The rescue mission depends on donations to provide clothing to the occupants directly as well as to fill their thrift stores of goods to sell in order to raise capital to keep the mission going.
Your support in donations via financial contribution or in your lightly used clothing will mean another meal and another day of comfort on the road to eliminate homelessness, one human at a time.

Join us in community service putting together hand out kits that include socks, toiletries and sanitary items to give to someone in need. Oh yeah, and of course to see me knock out this challenge!
