Pittsburgh Area Coronavirus Face Mask Extenders 3D
Donation protected
Help First Responders, Heath Care Workers, and Volunteers as they work helping people in the community during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
I am an elementary student from Murrysville a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While completing our online school work my sister, brother, and I are making 3D printed mask extenders on our family’s 3D printer.
Wearing a mask has caused chafing and pain from the face mask elastic bands people are required to wear all day. This extender keeps the straps off of the ears of these workers to help them be more comfortable as they help our community.
My family has donated numerous mask extenders and the request for more is growing.
Family and friends have already donated money for more material to print these masks. The problem is that these mask extenders take approximately 1.5 hours to make (5) five and we really want to make more!!
Our goal for this Go Fund me is to be able to purchase a second 3D printer to double our production.
