Hi, my name is Katherine Nerima. I’m a 22-year-old childcare worker raising funds for Pitter Patter Educare, a non-profit preschool serving underprivileged children in the Dunoon township of Cape Town, South Africa.

In January, through the SAVE Foundation, I had the opportunity to work at Pitter Patter Educare. During my time there, I saw firsthand how limited resources and location deeply impact a child’s education and daily life. Under the guidance of the principal, Chantelle, I learned that for many of these children, school is not only a place to learn but their only access to a safe, nurturing, and consistent environment.

Pitter Patter Educare has recently lost its food supplier and is running low on essential classroom materials. This fundraiser will support the purchase of art and music supplies for children ages 2–6, basic classroom necessities, non-perishable food items, and a new gas stove to prepare daily meals for the children.

Every donation, big or small, will directly impact the children’s learning, nutrition, and well-being. Thank you for your support, I will be sharing updates so you can see the difference your generosity makes.
