Pitbull attack victim with MSP denial

On July 18, 2001, I was 6 years old. This day would forever change my life, and one that I will never beable to forget. I was visiting a family friend, when suddenly I was viciously attacked and mauled by a full grown pit bull. The attack left me seriously injured - I lost a large portion of my scalp and a piece of the dogs tooth broke of in my skull. As you can imagine I was a bloody mess. For the next several years, I would endure surgery's to try and repair the damage done to my head. And on top of that going to school and being horrendously bullied and taunted from the other kids....just made my life hell. I would need to wear hats to school as a child to cover the open wound on my head. Being mocked and made fun of as a young child was more then I could cope with. And as I got older I would be hospitalized for severe depression and PTSD....leaving me suicidal. In 2010, while I was in grade 9, my grandmother passed away. She was my biggest supporter through out my life. With losing her and the constant bullying at school, I dropped out. Today I am 26 years old. I am daily trying to cope with the never ending depression and anxiety...and also now bi polar. I just want to feel complete and whole, to get through a day feeling good about myself and not have people staring at me. I went through microvascular surgery at age 18, to try and repair my scalp and to hopefully prepare my scalp to have yet another surgery for a hair transplant, but I was denied by MSP....as they considered it to be cosmetic surgery and refused to cover it. In the end....I am writing again to try and help you to understand how I feel. It is basically no different from how women feel who lose their breasts to breast cancer. Except that I didn't have cancer....I was a 6 year old little girl who was attacked and mauled by a pitbull....I didn't ask for that. But I am asking for your help so that I can get a hair transplant. I just want to be like other girls who cut, curl, dye and style their hair....I want to fit in. I want to heal.
