Pitbull Attack - Help support Jessie & Tobi

I, Jessie Beacham, was out walking my dog Tobi on the morning of Friday, December 21 at 7:30 AM. I noticed a woman with two pit bulls at least 15 yards from us. The next thing I knew they pulled their owner to the ground and got loose. They both lunged for Tobi’s throat and the force pulled me to the ground as well. One dog viciously and repeatedly attacked while the other latched on to Tobi’s throat and never let go. I fought back and wrestled with them trying to save my dogs life. After 10 minutes of struggle I gave up fighting, wrapped my whole body around my dog and hugged him - trying to protect him the best I could with myself and screamed for help. The owner of the pit bulls was finally able to gain control of one dog and then just stood there watching us get mauled, no longer attempting to diffuse the situation. She actually laughed at me when I was pleading for help and shouted for neighbors to go to work stating there was nothing to see and that it was my fault for getting too close to her. In the process of the entire ordeal I was bitten severely in the knee and suffered hematoma, bruising, lacerations and blunt force trauma, not to mention the mental toll of the incident.

My dog suffered traumatic injuries to his throat and I had to be seen at the ER. I do not have health insurance and the bills are adding up. I’ve spent all the money I have to cover Tobi’s  medical expenses and fear they will continue to grow past the point of me being able to get him the care he deserves. Any money raised will go toward vet bills, ER bills and my rent, due to the fact that I have spent what I had saved for January rent on medical treatment for my dog.
