We've had a rough couple years. Brookes health has been rapidly declining and her lungs are being attacked because of her Lupus. At the end of February 2016 Brooke was ambulanced to Riverton hospital for a fungal infection in her lungs. It got so bad they life flighted her to IMC. There she got double lung pneumonia as well. They intubated her and she rested a while. The doctors thought she was on the mend so they extubated and she went into lung failure.Her heart and lungs just were not handling the sicknesses. Brooke was intubated again and later trached due to getting respirator pneumonia . Brooke spent a month in a hospital bed recovering her heart and lungs. She was sedated more than 50% of the time, so her recovery will be tedious due to muscle loss. We were informed Brooke was being moved to a rehab center where they taught her to eat and move again. With being in the hospital for 7 weeks and dealing with a long recovery, the bills are starting to pile up. Right now Brooke is doing great. Her recovery is one for the record books, Thanks to all the support and prayers we have received and are yet to receive. However, with 20+ more weeks of recovery and bills getting a bit out of control, we are put in a situation we hate to be in. Our deductible is so high we are asking for a bit more help on the other spectrum of her health issues. ANYTHING helps.
