Help Pistachio Recover from Pancreatitis

My name is Pistachio,

I is a sweet, bouncy, happy little miniature Schnauzer who loves everyone. I goes to work wif my daddy, and I is da main reason they keeps him in his job! I also needs to be at home wif my mummy to make her feel better 'cause she sick too. :(

I got a tummy upset on Friday and had to go to the hoppital! Dey say my pancakes is not good, but I never eats pancakes!

I paid all my crunchies to the doctors, but dey say I needs to stay in da hoppital even longer wif a pancake specialist. I dunno why I is here, I just wants to go home wif my mummy and daddy.

Pwease help me go home soons. I miss my family.

Hello everyone,

We are Emilia and Clem, Pistachio's parents. Pistachio is our baby and it breaks our heart to see her suffering like this. Emilia has her own medical problems right now, can barely walk and has not been able to work in the past two years; we have paid quite a bit for treatment not covered by our insurance (over $10,000/year for Physio, Chiro, etc each year for the past three years) and Pistachio's sickness has come at the worst possible time.

Pistachio was throwing up all Friday night into Saturday morning. We took her to the vet on Saturday and were sent home to see if she would get better overnight. Sunday she was worse and had to be admitted to the hospital. Monday the internal medicine specialist was at the vet and performed an ultrasound and discovered that Pistachio's pancreas was inflamed.

So far we the costs for Pistachio's treatment have been $3757.86:

The current estimate is another $3000 to $6000 depending on how long her hospital stay requires and whether emergency interventions are required.

Any donations not used for Pistachio's care will be donated to the Toronto Humane Society.
