Pirates for Puppies: Support Austin Pets Alive

On June 21st, we will be hosting a 100% self-supported, 100% grass roots, and 100% YO, HO, HO pirate themed race in the name of our furry 4 legged friends. All proceeds will be donated to Austin Pets Alive, a local organization dedicated to helping animals find permeant homes!
There will be three events:
The Swashbuckling Sprint Triathlon (solo) : 7:00am kickoff : Govalle Pool —a 750m swim, 20K bike ride, and 5K run
The Swashbuckling Sprint Triathlon (team) : 7:00am kickoff : Govalle Pool — Grab your shipmates as a team of 3 will compete in a a 750m swim, 20K bike ride, and 5K run relay race. Each member will commit to doing one leg of the race!
The Shiver Me Timbers 5k Pirate Booty Race: 10am Kickoff : Govalle Park (Walnut Creek Trailhead) - Join us for a 5k fun run!!
Bonus points awarded if you would like to dress in a pirate costume!!!
Members that sign up by 8pm CST on Monday, June 2nd will be guaranteed the iconic Pirates for Puppies commemorative pirate hat upon completion of their event!
Whether you chip in $5 or $50, it goes directly to the organization—and gives me a huge mental boost when I’m out there grinding through the heat.
Hoping to pitch in other ways? We will need a few volunteers to help swab the poopdeck (man the water stations and help facilitate race day activities).
