Pipsqueak's Fight for Life: Please Help Save Her
Donation protected
Meet Pipsqueak.
When we got Pipsqueak, she was underweight, covered in fleas, and was born with herpes, which is why her third eyelid was always stuck out. So from the get-go, she has had some health issues. She was found by a friend in a graveyard on a Halloween night, and boy did she run for hours. She is now normally a very sweet cat who adores playing with her big brother cat, Lovebug. She seconds as an alarm clock; as soon as feeding time is around the corner, you'll know. Pippi will meow like she hasn't eaten in days, and she'll eat enough for her and her siblings. If you go to give her pets prior to her already being fed, she'll let you just long enough to hear her sweet purr, and then walk away to convince you to follow her to her food bowl. Her favorite spots to sleep are on the printer, wrapped around her mom's face, and the top of the cat tower.
Unfortunately, as of late, Pip is incapable of sleeping in her favorite place. As of the past couple of days, she can't even stand on her own. She started showing signs of weakness and acting less like herself about a week and a half ago, and so I have tried to work extra hours as much as I can so that I could go to the vet's office knowing I could afford to help her. Once our mom was able to get her in, we were told she had a bad case of anemia and is in dire need of a blood transfusion in order for her to stand a chance of living. They quoted us a few thousand to get this done for our three-year-old baby. We tried calling some places before the weekend hit but had no luck in finding anything much cheaper, if at all. We are planning to call as many places as we can as soon as the weekend is over, but either way, it is a lot for us to afford. To even have brought her to the vet and pay a few hundred to get her some extra fluids and steroids set us back hard. She is fighting, and we believe in her. We love Pipsqueak so much and want to try our best to give her the best life we can.
We aren't sure how long she could live for, so if she cannot survive before we can get her a transfusion, we will gladly send back any donations that are sent her way. This feels like our only option left, and we are trying our best to stay strong and hopeful for Pipsqueak. Thank you for reading about our baby. I hope this pushes you to look into things to look out for to know if you should bring your cat to the vet, or feel it out to see if they are just not feeling good for a couple of days.
