Hey, I'm Jenai, the owner of Pippin! My border collie cross golden retriever fool of a Took. He is 7 months old.

On the 12/3/26, Pip got the snip! No pups for Pip, haha! As well as some xrays, to make sure he was ok. Turns out he has OCD in both shoulders (Osteochondritis Dissecans) and hip dysplasia in both sides of his hip. He does already have existing pain related to the dysplasia as I have recently come to realise.

He still makes me, his mum pick him up in and out of the car etc, barely a jumper unless it's a classic GR body slam! And sits at a healthy 20kg, with healthy conditioning body shape. So I am unsure of how he got like this.

My options are limited, and for such a happy pup I would like to try to give him the best shot in life. 7 months old is too short of a life, especially not to fight for.

I plan to only use this for the hip surgery and also the recovery (if the cost exceeds my existing quotes). I plan to try to pay the OCD treatment myself, but if there is left over funds I will use those to assist. I will also be contributing to this fund myself

For transparency sake I will add vet reciepts if I can and if people want. I will update the actual amount after the vet consult and the treatment method is decided. I also will add a list of the costs!

If I hit the goal needed, I will close this fundraiser as soon as possible once going over the line!

Treatment and costs:

DPO (Double Pelvic Osteotomy) - 9k FOR BOTH HIPS WOO WOO!

Pennhip and DAR testing (included in DPO surgery cost)

OCD surgery - still only an estimate of 2-3k

CT scan - $1500, an additional $500 on top if the radiologist happens to be around that day.
