Piper's Journey to the 2024 Olympics

Hi, my name is Piper Kelly and I am asking for your help to support my journey to the Paris 2024 Olympics.

I recently qualified for the Olympics in Speed Climbing by winning the PanAmerican Games. My family and I have made many sacrifices to help me accomplish this lifelong goal, and I am incredibly grateful to have had this opportunity.

Climbing was a new addition to the Olympics in Tokyo, and while the sport is quickly gaining popularity, it does not have the same media attention or funding as sports like basketball or gymnastics. The lack of media attention makes it difficult to obtain personal sponsors. While USA Climbing, the climbing national federation, and Team USA will fund my Olympic travel (which I am extremely thankful for!) there is a lot more that goes in to being a professional athlete.

There is still a long journey until Paris next year. I have moved to Salt Lake City where USA Climbing is located in order to have access to team coaches and facilities. These next 8 months will be filled with long hours of training in the gym, which does not allow me the time to work enough to fully support myself. I am currently supported mostly by my parents, but this is becoming more difficult as they are also trying to fund their own travel to watch me compete.

Funds I raise here will be used to support me as I train to compete on the biggest stage in sport. Your donation will help me with living expenses, training equipment, and a down payment on a car.
