Piper Needs Our Help After Flood Tragedy
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Julie Newell, and I’m reaching out to ask for help for my dear friend, Joanna Piper. Yesterday, April 2, Piper and her two young children lost their home to the devastating floods that hit our area. Thankfully, they are all safe.
Piper is a single mother of two boys, ages 10 and 7. She has been living in Nashville since 2010, running her own skincare business as a licensed esthetician. She has always worked hard to support her family and has been a pillar of strength for others, despite having no family nearby. She is an incredibly resilient woman who is always there for others—but right now, it's our turn to be there for her.
The duplex where Piper and her children lived is located near a creek, and unfortunately, it was completely flooded last night. The Nashville Fire Department had to rescue them by boat, along with their neighbors who also needed help. Tragically, Piper’s car was overtaken by the floodwaters. They are now left with no home, no car, and a deep fear of returning to the area in case the flooding happens again and worsens.
As a community, we have the chance to support Piper and her family as they face the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives. The road ahead is going to be incredibly challenging, and they need our support now more than ever.
Piper has always been there for others, and now we have an opportunity to give back and help her rebuild. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a world of difference. If you can’t donate, please share this campaign with your friends and family to spread the word.
Please keep Piper and her children in your thoughts as they work through this heartbreaking loss. Your kindness and generosity will help them start over during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you so much for your support.
With love and gratitude,
