If you know me, you know Piper. She's been my sidekick from day one and goes with me everywhere. She is the sweetest yet sassiest animal I've ever encountered and one of the best things that has ever happened to me.

Last October, she was diagnosed with AGASACA, a cancerous tumor on the anal glands. We proceeded with surgery to remove the mass and have been doing ultrasound rechecks every three months to check for any spread, all of which have come back clean until this most recent one.

Unfortunately, it has been confirmed that the cancer has metastasized to the lymph nodes. At only 8 years old and not showing ANY outward signs of sickness, I'm determined to do whatever it takes to continue fighting this for my girl. Our time together just isn't close to being over. I refuse to believe that.

The suggested treatment is a fairly aggressive radiation as well as ongoing chemotherapy. As we all know, our own healthcare costs can be outrageous and unfortunately it is the same in the veterinary world. I don't have a total estimated cost yet, but I do know I can’t do it on my own this time.

If you'd be willing to donate anything at all, it would mean the absolute world to both of us. No amount is too small. ALL funds raised will go directly to Piper’s treatment and care as she continues to fight this, and anything left over will then be donated to another dog that needs it! If donating just isn’t in your cards right now- believe me, I get it. We will gladly accept all the prayers, good vibes, best wishes, good juju and love anyone has to offer.

Please know that I considered other avenues as well--including selling feet pics (Piper’s that is-there has to be a niche for grinch toes?!)--but since time is of the essence in starting treatment, this seemed the most efficient way to ask for help. I truly hate asking for it in any situation, especially monetary... but I simply am not ready to give up on my best friend, not when there are quality options available to us.

I know in my heart I have to do everything I can for Pipes ❤️
