Piper King Chiari Malformation

Hi. My name is Heather Hall and I’m fundraising for my sister and brother-in-law (Haley&John King). While home Friday night, their 2 year old daughter Piper was being her free spirited self and playing with her Leo Mat. She flipped herself off it and hyperextended her neck and hit her head off the ground and became unconscious. When she finally came to, she wouldn’t move her arms or legs and was shaking all over. We then went to Cabell Huntington where they done an MRI which revealed that Piper has a severe Chiari Malformation and major injury to the spinal cord causing lesion. They initially thought a tumor but ruled that out. Normal malformation is around 5, and Pipers is 13. We were then transferred via health net to Nationwide Children's Hospital. She is paralyzed right now from the neck down so they have her on a ventilator. Since being here we have learned so much. The information is all kind of a blur. Today they are repeating her MRI of her head and spine. They are planing to do surgery tomorrow January 17th.

They have 2 other children (Noah-8,Rhea-1) back home who miss mommy, daddy, and sissy.
