Update 4/22/2021:
Piper Jane's medical team has decided to allow her to keep her current feeding tube instead of the surgical tube, which means that sweet baby girl gets to go HOME! Piper Jane will go home with hospice care on 4/23/21, as well as a newly trained Mommy and Daddy to help care for her. We are not sure the number of days she will be here, but we are praising God for this time for this little family to spend their time together in the comfort of their own home. We cannot thank you enough for your support for this young couple and their family that our community loves so dearly!
Update 4/18/2021:
Piper Jane Lemaster was born on 4/15/2021 weighing 5 lbs 7oz and 18 inches long. One thing we know for certain is that she is a FIGHTER! We weren't certain what the delivery would bring, but she was born breathing on her own!! There have been a multitude of tests from day 1 and here are a few things we know at this time: Piper Jane does have a cleft palate and is being fed by a feeding tube, which her Mommy is a rockstar at providing her much needed breast milk for. She does have a deformity on her hand, she is missing one eye, and the other is considered a "micro" eye (which is currently covered by a cyst) which means Piper Jane will most likely be blind. She does have excess spinal fluid on the brain, she does not have a pituitary gland (which is ever so important), and she is having seizures. She also has a hole in her heart. The morning after she was born, she had genetic testing done which will take a few weeks for the results. If a confirmed diagnosis is returned, that will also provide a lot more answers as to what to expect for Pipe Jane's future. Piper's sweet Mama and Daddy are enjoying every precious moment they have with their squishy little princess, and they are so very thankful for every penny donated to ensure they can fully be present for their little fighter as much as possible at this time, while the bills don't take a break. The road ahead for them feels like a mountain of obstacles, with a very unknown journey, so your continued prayers are very much appreciated as well!

Preslie and Jesse have been preparing for the birth of their beautiful baby girl, Piper Jane. Piper Jane is due May 4th, 2021, on her Aunt Tori’s birthday. After a visit to UAB on March 23rd, they received news no parent wants to ever hear; Piper Jane may have Trisomy 13. Her scans have revealed a cleft palate, spinal fluid on the brain and possible heart issues. The future of Piper Jane is very uncertain at this time, and either road these parents may travel with their baby girl will be an expensive one. This page is being established to help this young couple with any expenses they may have as Piper Jane's story unfolds. We are praying for a miracle, but want these parents to not have the added burden of the mounting expenses that are ahead. All donations in any amount are so very appreciated by this precious family!
