Hi my name is Samantha and I’m here to ask for help to save my beloved dog, Piper.

Piper is a ten year old (she just had her birthday at the end of June) mixed breed. She’s a mix between a German shepherd, lab, husky and probably a couple other things! Piper is the most kind and loveable dog I’ve ever met! She loves with her whole heart and never fails to bring a smile to my face. She is my home <3

She has been there for me when I couldn't even be there for myself. She has brought me back from the depths and quite frankly I’m not ready for her to leave. She’s got too much life left to live.

On August 14, 2025, Piper was taken to the vet to have a mass between her toes looked at. It was at this moment the vet told us that the mass is more than likely cancerous.

Moving forward, Piper will likely need at least two surgeries to have the mass removed and then to likely amputate her toe. Her first surgery is scheduled for August 20, 2025 in the morning. During this surgery they will remove the mass and attempt to close the wound and we will have it sent for testing. It will take a week to get the results back and from there we will know exactly what type of cancer it is and whether it is benign or malignant and obviously our next steps.

Any help that you might be able to offer us to afford these surgeries is greatly appreciated. I will keep updating as I have more information.
