Piper and Reeve’s illness : Support the Lively family

Help Jessalyn & Reeve Through Medical Hardships

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

Our daughter, Jessalyn, and her husband, Reeve Lively, are going through a very difficult time and could use your support. Reeve is full-time in ministry as a youth leader, and together they lead worship at their church. Jessalyn also works full-time at a rehab facility, where she brings light and joy to residents every day.

Piper’s Critical Illness

Jessalyn’s beloved service dog, Piper, has been by her side for nearly nine years, helping her manage a chronic illness. Piper went to college with her at 17 and now accompanies her to work every day, providing comfort not only to Jessalyn but also to the residents and staff at the rehab facility. Sadly, Piper has fallen critically ill with a dangerously low platelet count. The cause is still uncertain—it could be cancer or a severe autoimmune disorder. While medications have stabilized her somewhat, she remains weak and requires frequent lab work.

The cost of her medications alone is over $500 per month, and they’ve already accumulated $2,000 to $3,000 in vet bills.

Reeve’s Health Struggles

On top of that, Reeve has been hospitalized with pancreatitis, a condition he has battled in the past but had been under control for years. Doctors have now discovered stones in his bile ducts, and he may require surgery. While insurance should cover most of the medical expenses, Jessalyn may need to take unpaid time off work to care for him.
