At around 9 pm on July 6th, Coty and Brooke took their dogs Piper, Gus and Ollie for a quick walk before bedtime. Please read their nightmare below:

"Coty and I went out to take the pups on a walk to burn some energy and our adventure turned into a nightmare. All I remember hearing is “Brooke, there is a dog coming!” I turned around and before I knew it, the dog catapulting towards us decided to latch onto Gus and throw him around like a rag doll.

After our many attempts of getting him to stop attacking our defenseless puppy, Piper decided to intervene herself. Which then resulted in him latching on to her.

Gus: 4 deep bites (abdomen, each shoulder, and his leg) With his leg bite, he broke both of Gus’ major bones. He too has a chipped tooth and puncture in his mouth.

Piper: 3 deep bites. Two just needed stitches but one did enough damage they had to place in drain tubes. She’s so swollen and can barely walk.

Our hearts are simply broken and furious all at the same time. I have never had so much adrenaline pump through my veins as I sprinted home to get our vehicle.

Gus has a surgery coming up today or Friday and Piper will need several more visits. Any prayers or good vibes sent our way would be greatly appreciated. Hoping and praying we can get them held accountable for this emotionally, physically and financially draining night."

Any money raised will be used for the vet bills associated with this horrific event.
