I am cycling 3000km from Vancouver to Mexico, with my dog Chip. Just me and Chip, with maybe some comrads jumping in for some legs of the journey here and there.

I have been thinking about it for quite a while and now it's time to make it a reality.  I cycled from London to Paris (600km), with support years ago, which was a big trip for me then. I need to ramp up my game if i'm going to ask for money again. I feel like 3000km with a little stocky 22lbs dog, by myself, is a sufficient ramp up.

Choosing a charity can be hard, there are endless amazing charities out there. You just have to chose one that means something to you and who you believe you can trust.

It only seems fitting that with my love for dogs and the fact i'm taking my dog (who was a street dog) with me on the long journey to Mexico, that I fund raise for an animal rescue in Mexico. 

When a friend and I were in Mexico last year a rescue helped us save and home an amazing dog called Oso. Oso had a sad ending, but thanks to them he managed to enjoy life with a great family who loved him for 6 months. I was just happy he passed happy having been loved, even if it was for a short time.
