Pioneer Clubhouse towards Zero Emissions
Help Pioneer Clubhouse Go Solar!
Pioneer Clubhouse has been chosen as the first beneficiary of a new Community Giving Fund, set up by not-for-profit organisation Zero Emissions Sydney North. ZESN runs a number of programs to help our community reduce our emissions. Its Community Giving Fund will install solar systems for local charities and not-for-profits. Pioneer Clubhouse is very excited to be the recipient of the first solar system.
Zero Emissions will provide Pioneer Clubhouse with the bulk of the funding to install solar panels.
We are almost there! The project costs $15,000 altogether and we require an additional $4,000 for it to go ahead. If you can help us with a donation, any amount is much appreciated! All donations are tax deductible.
The solar system will save Pioneer Clubhouse thousands of dollars in electricity costs each year and free up much needed funds that we can use for our core programs. It’ll be the gift that keeps on giving.
Pioneer Clubhouse is a safe, supportive, respectful community of people with lived experience of mental illness, based in Balgowlah on the Northern Beaches and has been around for 25 years. Each member is valued, needed and wanted. Members work side by side with staff in the running of the Clubhouse, to complete daily tasks in the kitchen, café, creative hub, garden and office. Through participation, members can rejoin the worlds of friendships, family, employment and education and have access to the services and support they individually need to continue their recovery.
