On October 9th, our friend Nick - a former Pinnacle High School D1 lacrosse player and current ASU lacrosse player - collapsed during practice. After being rushed to Osborn Medical Center, doctors discovered the cause was a brain tumor.

Nick underwent a difficult brain surgery on October 13th and is now in recovery and rehabilitation at Barrow Neurological Institute. While the surgery was successful, it caused some complications, and Nick still faces ongoing cancer treatment and therapy in the months ahead.

Nick has so many friends and an incredibly supportive family. His mom hasn’t left his side since the day he was admitted and has taken leave from work to care for him full-time. His dad has been there every day too, spending every possible moment with Nick when he’s not at work.

Nick has also been showered with love and visits from friends and family and his coaches lifting his spirits and reminding him just how many people are behind him. Their strength, faith, and love have been unwavering through this journey.

Anyone who knows Nick knows his huge smile, quick sense of humor, and endless kindness. He works hard at everything he does, and his roommates say they miss him terribly - especially since he was always the one keeping their place clean and organized! Nick is the kind of person who’s always there for others, helping his friends, family, and coaches at the drop of a hat whenever someone needed a hand.
