Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting Australian women.

Everyday 58 people in Australia will be diagnosed with breast cancer. That equates to over 21,000 people in Australia being diagnosed with breast cancer each year.

1 in 7 women and 1 in 550 men are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

Around 1,000 young women aged under 40 are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, equivalent to about 3 young women each day.

Every year over 3,300 people in Australian (including 33 men) will die from breast cancer. That’s 9 Australians a day dying from the disease.

Australia has one of the best breast cancer survival rates in the world. The incidence rate of diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia is increasing; however, the mortality rate from breast cancer is decreasing.

The McGrath Breast Care Nurses play a vital role, providing physical, psychological, and emotional assistance from diagnosis through to treatment. The McGrath Foundation aims to expand its support network to 250 nurses by 2025, ensuring no one faces breast cancer alone. Educating ourselves and supporting initiatives like this will make a meaningful difference.

So let us come together to support Pink Stumps Day, spread awareness and donate to finding a cure for breast cancer. Together we can make a real difference.

All donations received will be donated to the McGrath Foundation on behalf of Mordialloc Cricket Club. Thanks for your support!
