Pink in the Rink Fights Cancer for Valancee Avalos
Donation protected
The Pink In The Rink Cancer campaign is honoring a very special community member and dear friend, Valancee Florez (Avalos).
Valancee is one of the kindest, most selfless people we know, who would do anything for you at a moment's notice without hesitation. She is a single mom, with two children (Aiden - 17 & Briana - 20), and has been fighting cancer since 2018.
Valancee was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer on August 22, 2018. She underwent four long months of chemotherapy followed by surgery to remove the tumor. In July 2019, doctors found two tumors in her brain. She immediately underwent radiation treatment mid July through the beginning of August. On August 22, 2019, Valancee began very aggressive chemotherapy for Stage 4 Cancer in different areas of her body (bone, liver & lungs). It will be at least another six months of treatments.
Doctors recently put her chemotherapy treatment on hold due to her recovering from pneumonia and her levels being drastically low. She is currently at home resting, on oxygen, and will remain there until her doctors feel she is ready to restart her chemotherapy treatment.
This journey has been an uphill battle which she gallantly takes one day at a time. Valancee's been unable to work and therefore, is not collecting a paycheck from her full-time job (100% commission based), so we are starting this fund to help alleviate the continued financial stress that comes with this long fight.
Please help us help our dear friend Valancee. Any support you can give would be greatly appreciated not only for Valancee, but also her children. Thank you very much and God bless you.
