My name is Mel and I am organising this fundraiser for a family friend that has recently been diagnosed with cancer.

March 28th was the day that Kristy received the life changing news. She was diagnosed with breast cancer. Kristy is a Lake Macquarie local that has dedicated the last 20 years of her life making a difference in other’s lives through her work as an AIN. Kristy is only 37 years old. She has a fiancé of 13

years, Katie Shae, and two young boys, aged 6, and 18 months old.

I have seen first hand the devastating impact that breast cancer can have, after my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013. I am organising this fundraiser with the aim to ease the financial burden on Kristy and her family, whilst she is undergoing treatment and unable to work.

Any amount, no matter how big or small will help make a difference.
