Help Our Athens Latino Community

We are a group of dedicated volunteers that have been working with the Latino community in Athens, GA for many years. Since 2015, we have supported dozens of families whose loved ones were detained and/or deported by Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE).  These families - including US-born children - are often left in precarious financial and emotional situations. Your donations have allowed us to help cover some of their basic costs (like rent, food and other bills), while we provide emotional support and connect them with relevant service providers.

Moving forward, we will continue to support families in Athens dealing with these crisis. Additionally, we will support youth with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status (in collaboration with U-Lead Athens); strengthen relationships with local entities, organizations and law enforcement;  create "safe spaces" or "sanctuaries" for our vulnerable neighbors; host information sessions and launch a public advocacy campaign in support of our local immigrant community.

With the new political climate comes an immediate need to raise funds once again, to help us continue our work and meet the above-mentioned goals.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation on this page today! If you require a receipt for your donation or would like to learn more about our efforts, please contact us.

Thank you for your support!
