Pinecrest Elem. Schoolyard Upgrade

Help support Pinecrest Elementary School upgrade existing playground and basketball equipment.
Pinecrest Elementary in Silver Spring, MD is a school for 3rd to 5th grade students. It also backs up onto the Woodmoor neighborhood Pinecrest Park. When school is not in session, the play area is often used by the community.
In October 2016 in conjunction with the school administration we submitted a proposal to Montomgery County school system to have upgraded basketball equipment installed. In late February 2017 we received approval to move ahead with this project. The new equipment (4 adjustable hoops) and install proposal came in at $11,525. Our funding goal of $12,000 will cover the cost to install the new hoops. If we are able to raise addiotnal funds, we will also be able to modify the black top to improve safety.
For the students and community this means the chance for kids of all ages to use the equipment and provides a new activity for recess. It would provide adjustable rims from 6ft to 10ft.
This would mean a great deal to the school, neighborhood and community. We have the support of the Pinecrest administration and have worked along side them to get approvals on this project.
Above are pictures of the current equipment that does not adjust for younger kids, does not have hooks for nets, does not measure to 10ft evenly and is outdated.
The final picture shows the proposed new equipment from the county and agreed upon by the committee and school administration.
Any donation big or small goes a long way to help. We thank you in advance for your donations and consideration. 100% of proceeds go to the project.
Your donation is a forever donation as this will improve the school grounds for kids that come throughout these doors for years to come.
