I'd like share with you about a beautiful person who can use our help right now.

Sarah Jorgensen, mother of two beautiful adopted girls is in the midst of a battle with ovarian cancer.  She was diagnosed with stage 3c ovarian cancer in early March. Since Sarah, the girls and her fiancé, Dan live in a small town in Wyoming, they had to travel to find the best doctors and treatment they could find. Sarah and Dan ended up heading to Seattle to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) for surgery and treatment.  Sarah and Dan were in Seattle for a month as she could not travel for a few weeks post-surgery and to receive the first cycle of chemo there. Huge thanks goes to both grandparents for their help with the children through all of that.

Sarah is doing great (and kicking butt...Sarah style). Surgery went safely though they were not able to clean all of the cancer out. Chemo has to do some work. The chemo treatment and cycle is intense, due to a special study that the SCCA has her on. Due to this, she has to receive chemo every Tuesday and has to do so in Seattle at the SCCA, until August 23rd.

She, her fiancé Dan (thank God for him) and the girls have moved to Boise for the summer to make it more convenient and affordable to fly. Sarah is flying out every Tuesday at 6am to fly to Seattle.  She heads to the hospital, gets treatment and heads back to the airport for a 4pm flight. It is brutal and expensive, but needs to be done. Currently, Sarah is making those roundtrips on her own as it is too costly for Dan to travel with her and assist her every time. This is something we hope to change with this page. Due to moving to Boise for the summer, having to spend a month in Seattle and his top priority for the summer being taking care of his family, Dan was unable to keep his job which is another financial blow to the family.

With this GoFundMe page, we hope to help them deal with the expenses related to the required travel, out of pocket medical cost, etc. The month they had to spend in Seattle was very expensive as they had to pay somewhere to stay for 3 plus weeks.

Roundtrip flights – Boise/Seattle every Tuesday
Help cover expenses from time in Seattle
Out of Pocket Medical Expenses (a huge expense)
House Cleaning
Grocery Delivery
Child care (Dan is doing a great job, but I'd like to give him a few breaks) We have a wonderful college neighbor that would love some steady summer work, so maybe we can help pay for that.

If you would like to also help out in person, we have created a team of friends called Sarah’s Pineapple Princess Patrol (for those of you who remember the boat, there is a story to the name) to help with meals, help with the girls, help with errands, rides, etc. If you would like to join that team, reach out to me at through this page. Thanks!

They will be leaving Boise at the end of August.  The last Chemo is Tuesday August 23rd, assuming everything goes well.

I'd like to host celebration and send off party before they return to Jackson at the end of the summer and could use help with that too!

Thanks to everyone for being a part of Sarah's Pineapple Princess Patrol, let’s make it an unforgettable summer!
