> Please help my mom last week we found out that her dr. will not be refilling her pump any more and with out it her pain will be unbearable ,we really need to get her the help she needs fast!!
> We are trying to raise money to pay off some of her old medical bills and also get her more needed surgery. For her left ankle to be replaced or amputated depending on bone stability, and a broken big toe joint replaced on her right foot. Most likely more surguries later on.
> In 2002 Kerry broke the two bones in her bottom left leg. The titanium rod placed to help heal her was too long and when it was removed it rebroke the leg and shattered her ankle joint beyond repair. At this time her and my dad Jason owned a martial art school in Jefferson City, MO. Kerry worked with the younger children and special needs students. Putting her students first, she kept teaching and started holding all her weight on her right side. The weight compensation caused compression fractures in 3 vertebrae and severe bursitis in her right hip. In 2007 she could no longer teach and we all moved to Round Rock, TX that year. In 2009 she had a nero stimulator placed inside her back to mask her bursitis pain. A year later she had an intratical pain pump implanted in her spine and stomach. Before the pump she had maxed out at 360 milligrams of oral morphine a day. Now with the pump she is down to a healthy 11 milligrams a day intratically. She is now only 40 years old, with intractable chronic pain and will need this treatment the rest of her life. Last week we were just told her doctors will no longer be filling ANY of their clients morphine pumps. We are now praying for a way to get her the right medical care so she can live without the pump or a find new clinic who will maintain and refill the pump. Preferably a combination of very needed surgical care, and the right pain management doctor to keep the pump in place.
