Pimp(Save) My Truck

On my way home (Texas) from being stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. I got a case of bad luck and hydroplaned and my truck spun out in the middle of Alabama this passed Wednesday (Sep. 16) Went into the median/ditch in between lanes of the highway, immediately called my insurance to be told my coverage expired in December with no notification or knowledge, and with a chance of it being an error on their end, they told me to wait for them to give me an answer. And so since Wednesday I’ve been paying out of pocket. With having to call all the local repair shops to get estimates of the repair and cost, and as well as tow trucks and carriers that can move my truck back to Texas, and with all my belongings from my barracks room still in my truck at the lot owned by the same towing service that pulled my truck out of the ditch. I haven’t been one to constantly ask for a Military discount for anything, but this past week has been a change of habit, with $200 on the hotel room, $800 for the storage and towing of my truck from the accident, $100 to get a taxi to Montgomery the closest city with a rental car service, $200 for a rental car, and $800 for shipping my truck home and another $800 to wench my truck on and off the trailer since it isn’t drivable, easily rounded to $3000 at least out of my own pocket to get it to home in Texas, No repair costs added yet, the price of that I do not know yet. I feel shameful asking for help but I have no other option, especially since time is not on my side with my transfer overseas to Japan this October. Anything helps, even $10. I appreciate and thank anyone who has read this and understands my situation... truly helping me in ways I can’t express, thank you.
