My precious boy and Houston legend Pilot was diagnosed with Glaucoma at the end of December. The lens inside his left eye has detached and shifted away from its natural position, causing the intraocular pressure (IOP) in the eye to steadily increase. The pressure is extremely painful and due to the lens being detached the vet has told me the eyedrops to relieve the pressure won't ever fix the problem. The pressure will continue to build, eventually blinding him anyway so the only way to go about giving him a better life is to remove the eye. I'm looking to get him scheduled as soon as possible and with the pressure/pain meds, shots, bloodwork, optho visits, the surgery itself and aftercare, it's quite expensive.
