On November 30th, our coworker and pilot Troy Wyatt suffered a major seizure while teaching an aircraft safety class on his day off. He was transported to the hospital emergently where he was found to have a frontal lobe brain tumor.
Since then it has been a waiting game after a biopsy and waiting for results. We now know that he will begin radiation treatment 5 days per week for 6 weeks, and then start chemotherapy in hopes to shrink the tumor, as it was not able to be removed with surgery.
Troy is our lead pilot at our HEMS program where he's served our community for 7 years. Prior to that he served our country, retiring from over 20 year career in the US Army as a warrant officer. We want to set up a place for people to donate to help Troy in this season where his livelihood has been interrupted, to help with the sudden hardship that this diagnosis has caused. We know Troy as the first to help out someone in need and someone who has blessed our base with his experience and knowledge that can't be replaced. Please donate any amount to help. Thank you so much!
update: Troy will be traveling to MD Anderson in Houston this Sunday to begin radiation treatment. Thank you all for your support!
