Meet Pilot and her siblings! They were rescued about 10 days ago. All was going well till Thursday morning when one of the 4 kittens passed unexpectedly and the other 3 took a turn for the worst. Unfortunately, all 3 kittens have been infected by kitty parvo (panleuk). The kittens spent all day at the vet for triage and treatment. Pilot had a body temp of 89 and blood sugar of 10. It took the vet staff over three hours to stabilize her. Then she was sedated to have a feeding tube inserted.

The kittens are now back with their foster in an incubator, critically ill with around-the-clock supportive care. The initial bill has been $700!
