Pilgrimage: Trekking on the El Camino

Donation protected
Hello friends & family! I will be traveling to Spain this fall to hike on part of the El Camino, a.k.a. “The Way of Saint James.” All routes lead to the city of Santiago de Compostela in Spain, where the remains of Saint James the Greater are buried in a Cathedral. My route is the Camino Frances—approximately 129 miles total. My group will be hiking the trail roughly 11 miles daily for 12 days. The journey is meant to be a time of sacrifice, suffering, rigorous hiking, self-discovery, and intense prayer.

Avid pilgrims from all over the world travel to walk the El Camino for various reasons, including religious beliefs, physical fitness, historical interest, and more. I decided to join my parish’s pilgrimage in hopes to spark personal and faith-based change in my life. The arduous trek will teach me how to die to self, refresh my mind, body, and soul, and grow stronger as a young woman of Christ.

I will be carrying special intentions with me. For each donation, please include a note with how I can pray for you and what I can offer up for you, and I will dedicate 1 day of hiking and prayer to your special intentions.

Even a small donation will help make my journey to Spain possible. Funds will be used for airfare, tipping concierge and accommodation staff, food and supplies, and other travel expenses.

”Buen Camino!” and thank you for your generosity!
