Pilates Heals.  

Misa was my nanny and helped me raise my kids.  I was so very lucky to have her in my life during the important formative years when my kids where little and my business, a Pilates studio was young as well.  She and her husband Slavo were an extension of my own family and everyone who met them loved them.

Misa developed a love of Pilates while she worked for me.  As my kids grew she could be seen regularly at the studio and I had plans of grooming her for her next career as a Pilates instructor.  She also had a baby while she worked for me.  Like many women she had postpartum depression after her beautiful Sofie was born and returned to the Czech Republic with her husband Slavo and new baby to be with family.

She overcame her depression and had her beautiful boy Filip but in December of 2017 this loving wife and the mother of two beautiful children was diagnosed with BREAST CANCER.

Just like thousands of other brave women she's going through surgeries, chemo and radiation.  All the while hoping for the best and planning for the worst.

Her husband Slavo found being just a bystander, watching her going through this painful process without the ability to make it go away unbearable at times.   And he just NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING.

That's why I'm here.   These are his words and I am helping to try to make this dream come true for them both.  My studio has often participated in Pilates for Pink - donating a portion of our proceeds from the month of October for Breast Cancer Research.  This year we are donating in June towards a Reformer to be shipped to the Czech Republic for Misa.  I will match the funds and it will all be listed here on Go Fund Me.  I urge you to donate any amount you see fit if Pilates has ever healed you in any way or if this wonderful family has touched your life the way they have touched mine.  Here are Slavo's words:

"I know one of my wife's big dreams is to own a Pilates reformer. She fell in love with it long time ago and had wanted to become a certified instructor before our kids were born. With her not working now and with all of the extra expenses we have, it's something I can't get for her but I know it would make her crazy happy . I know it's not a miracle cure but it is definitely something, that would make her heal, both physically and mentally. The whole mind/body thing really works wonders for her. Her medications make her gain weight, her body's got lots of aches and pains as side effects of chemo and this machine might at some level "save" her, of that I'm sure.

PLEASE, HELP ME MAKE MY WIFE HEALTHY AND HAPPY AGAIN. Every donation will be greatly appreciated, my words can't describe how much!

P.S.: I know she'll hate me for doing this once she finds out, because she'd never ask for money for herself knowing that there are other people in need around her. But I want her to know that she deserves to be happy just like any other human being and that there are times when she needs to think of herself first."

If we exceed our fundraising goal, I will be arranging for Skype lessons for Misa with a variety of trainers all over the world.  My hope is that she kicks cancers ass and then uses this apparatus to start her own business as a Pilates instructor when she is healed.
