Everyone who has met Pilar will know she exudes sunshine. A kind and gentle friend and a loving member of her family, she is often seen hugging the people she loves.

Pilar is the pillar of the field hockey community here in greater Vancouver (full pun intended). She is an ever-supportive teammate, a tenacious player on the field, and a respectful competitor - the embodiment of a true gem. She is well loved by her peers, coaches, and community members from NextGen, Field Hockey BC, Sea-to-Sky, Rob Short Academy and Heritage Woods Secondary.

In light of the tragic events in New Zealand and how it has impacted Pilar and her family, we would like to extend our support for them through this GoFundMe initiative. Pilar's prolonged stay in New Zealand and access and comfort during her flight home are necessary steps in bringing her home. This fundraiser will be a huge help towards her journey to recovery, so please consider supporting this way.
