Raise money for lawyer against Domestic Abuser

Hi, my name is Pilar Dugard, and I’m asking for help during one of the most terrifying and painful times in my life.

For six months, I was in a relationship that turned emotionally and physically abusive. On May 16, something happened that changed everything. During an argument, he became violent — he got on top of me and began hurting me. I couldn’t breathe. I was terrified. In that moment, I truly believed I was going to die.

I called the police, but despite everything, no charges were filed. I’m now left to fight for my own protection — completely on my own.

I’m trying to file a restraining order to keep myself safe, but I can’t afford a lawyer, and the legal process is overwhelming. That’s why I’m asking for your help. Your donation will go toward:

• Help from a lawyer to guide and represent me in court

• Any emergency safety-related costs I may face
