Pikey Peak Nepal Clean Up & COVID-19 relief fund

Nepal depends heavily on tourism. Local guides and porters had no income from trekking for over year now. On top, some locals come from very poor backgrounds, and they are struggling to support their families. Unfortunately the government of Nepal offers no support for the Nepali people.

My friend Gomba Sherpa is the owner of the trekking company Sherpa Heritage Trails in Nepal. Gomba has started the Pikey Peak Clean Up fundraiser and hires guides, porters and locals for a special trek in the Solukhumbu, Lower Everest region.

During this trek all the trash & rubbish along the Pikey Peak trail will get cleaned up. So you and other visitors can enjoy this amazing trail when travel is possible again. The clean up ends in Phaplu where the trash will be offered to the local authorities for proper disposal and recycle.

The participating trekking staff will receive food supplies for their effort during the clean up. All staff member receive a package including 25 kg rice, 3 kg lentils, 1 family pack of tea, 2 kg sugar and 2,5 liters of sunflower oil.
Also some local families will receive this package.

Help us help Nepali families, and same time clean up the beautiful Pikey Peak trails.

Thank you in advance for your donation. Here at GoFundMe, on Facebook and Instagram we will keep you updated about the progress.
