The husband of our friend and colleague, Kathy Pietro, recently underwent a lung transplant due to a hereditary lung disease. Dan Pietro is also a dear friend to many of us.  While insurance is covering many of the medical bills, there will be other costs associated with the surgery and recovery. The transplant was conducted in Tampa FL, requiring Kathy to temporarily relocate 5 hours away from home to a hotel next to the hospital so she can be at Dan's side through his extended recovery.  The estimate is that they will be in Tampa for post-surgery care for the next several weeks, and possibly months.  Kathy and Dan's family, friends, and co-workers have set up this fund raiser to help them through this difficult time.
