Our 5 year old dalmatian is in need of his second emergent surgery for a bladder blockage. He had surgery when he was 18 months for a complete blockage. At the time they pulled hundreds of stones from his bladder and neutered him for the future to help with no blockages but said it would be a toss up. Here we are 3 1/2 years later with another blockage but this one worse than the first. When I brought him in today they told me I was lucky he was still alive. They couldn't even compress his bladder which was extremely full because of the large stone in the way. After about 45 minutes they were able to at least push the stone back up but said it could be hours or days before it returns to a full blockage. They even brought up euthanasia if we couldn't afford the surgery. But he's 5 yrs old and full of life. Please help my sweet boy. We don't have the credit needed for care credit, scratchpay or bank loans. I paid $753 for today's visit to get him xrays, meds and them to push the stone back up. But they quoted me anywhere from $2500-$2900. This was the cheapest of the many vets i called. Please help us save our baby. We aren't needing the full amount. But we can't afford the entire surgery.
