Piedad's Wishlist
Hi, I'm Joanne Yeoh and I am fundraising for Piedad. Piedad is a dear friend and colleague and she has been going through a tough time since December 2020. However Piedad never complains and continues to help those who need her. I want to show Piedad how much I, and many of her friends and connections, care about her and that we want to pamper her with this surprise. And yes, this is a surprise until I reveal to her tomorrow ( 2nd July) what I've been up to !
Piedad is kind, caring, committed, generous, loving, and much more. The one trait that stands out is how selfless Piedad is with her work as an animal communicator helping animals, including their human companions, professional communicators and those developing their animal communication skills.
It was around 18 months ago that I met Piedad via a mutual friend. Piedad attended an online class I ran teaching about communicating with our pets. From that moment on Piedad literally "threw herself" into learning everything there was about communicating with animals. She demonstrated what having "no fear, no doubt" looked like as she took on every practice case with vigour. She was motivated by the enjoyment, curiousity and unconditional love she felt for animals and knew they needed her to be their Voice. Piedad has since helped hundreds of animals and brought harmony and understanding to both the animals and their human companions. Her services are offered at a professional level and in return Piedad requests for donations to be made to her chosen local rescue charity.
Let me say at this point too , that Piedad is truly an effective and authentic animal communicator.
As Piedad's friend, colleague and mentor, I am blessed to be a recipient of Piedad's support with my teaching work. She gives her time freely and lovingly nurturing learners and professional communicators who seek her expertise and experience. Again Piedad asks nothing for herself. Piedad's philosophy is that by giving she is receiving.
So, what is this fund-raising about?
Behind the scenes, back in December 2020, Piedad's partner was diagnosed with cancer. It was sudden and a shock to Piedad and all her family. Understandably Piedad took time out from her animal communication work to focus on taking care of her partner and spent every precious moment with him.
Sadly Piedad's partner passed away two months ago and she misses him terribly. Theirs was a good and strong relationship and this is a huge loss for Piedad.
In the last month, June 2021, Piedad made the decision to return to offering her animal communication work. Piedad's partner had fully supported her during her early days of learning and Piedad knows he would want her to continue. Piedad, with her loving philosophy that giving is receiving through helping animals she can find solace as she moves through her grief.
So I was chatting to Piedad the other day and the topic of making a personal Wishlist came up. It was along the lines of allowing us to dream big and to manifest into our lives what we would love to have, or experience. It turned out Piedad found this difficult to do ! We laughed at this as Piedad could not think of a single item to put on her Wishlist.
It seems when it comes to asking things for herself, Piedad draws a blank! Piedad believes all her needs are met and sees herself not to be materialistic.
The conversation thereafter did reveal that Piedad would love to experience visiting the whales via a boat tour that organises this in a nearby area. And of course Piedad would be taking the opportunity to communicate with the whales! At this present moment Piedad cannot imagine how this wish of hers can come true.
And so, an idea emerged! And this is where you come in.
I know that Piedad would love to communicate with your animals in return for your donation. If you don't have animals, and there is not a need right now for a communication, how about a donation anyhow to show Piedad how much we care about her? This will help Piedad's wish to visit the whales come true!
I want Piedad to know she is not alone and that she is loved by us all. I am certain Piedad's partner is so proud of the way she continues to live each day with gratitude holding onto good memories. Piedad inspires each and everyone of us to hold life as precious and to live it with passion purpose.
