Piece of the Pi - Second Annual Pi Day Fundraiser

Hello! My name is Ainsley Ramsey, and I am the founder of the Piece of the Pi fundraiser. I am so excited to host this fundraiser for a second year, now with the help of three of my outstanding peers in the mathematics field: Lily Gabric, Tori Stratton, and Sofia Blavatsky.

The Piece of the Pi annual Pi Day fundraiser, which concludes on 3/14/2022, aims to benefit STEM education for children in Arizona while also celebrating the power and importance of women in STEM. For our second annual fundraiser, we are raising money for the School Science Pass Initiative at the Arizona Science Center. Their goal is to provide all Title I schools throughout the state of Arizona with with their own School Science Pass for students and their families to "check out" for complimentary admission to the Arizona Science Center throughout the year.

According to the Arizona Science Center website, their goal is to make this opportunity available for every one of the Title I elementary schools in Arizona. A gift of $200 provides a School Science Pass for 1 Arizona Title I school. Our Piece of the Pi fundraising goal is $5,000, which will provide a School Science Pass for 25 Arizona Title I schools.

Lily, Tori, Sofia, and I are proud to be young women in the STEM field, and we are driven to provide the opportunity for Arizona children to discover and deepen their passions for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
