The Pie Den (Short Documentary)

Donation protected
Dear Pie Lovers,

Den’s about to launch his first ever pie & mash stall at The Blue Market in South Bermondsey, just down the road from the ‘Den’ football stadium. He’s calling it The Pie Den. And we want to capture the whole journey on film.

The plan is to make a short documentary tells Den’s story and also the history behind traditional London pie & mash, a proper working-class dish that’s slowly fading out. It’ll also help promote Den’s new business, during times of high costs and big names already dominating the scene.

We need a bit of help.

Your donations will go directly toward making this film: from gear hire to paying a small crew, post-production, and even helping design some branding for The Pie Den. I, Eren Kaplan, will be directing. You might know my earlier doc I Am West Green Road, which was made with the help of local shopkeepers to challenge negative press about my high street in Tottenham. I’ve always been drawn to community stories, and this is one I really believe in. You can check out my work at www.erenkaplan.co.uk.

Everyone who donates gets a FREE PIE at Den’s debut stall (veggie option too). We’ll also be thanking all supporters in the credits and on socials.

Thanks so much for reading and supporting.
Den & Eren
